Downhill after 40?

Downhill after 40?

It doesn't have to be this way.

Hey Reader,

More often than not, people think I am in my late 20s

But I'm actually turning 41.

If you asked me what the secret is, I do think partly it's my Asian genetics.

But I think for the most part, I have just always kept moving.

In my 20s, I started pole fitness and built decent upper body and core strength.

In my 30s, I moved into fitness modelling and bodybuilding and focused on weight training and body composition to achieve the symmetrical aesthetics required for show.

I fell in love with the body building lifestyle (and no it's not some kind of extreme diet lifestyle) it's actually what everyone is now TRYING to do when they 'eat healthier'.

At the same time, I use to take 4 hip hop and choreography dance classes a week.

Now in my 40s, I still do dance but only once a week (I do popping).

I'm also still doing aerial hoop - which replaces pole fitness for me.

And for the first time ever in my life started walking 10k steps a day.

My tip to you, is you need to start moving and/or keep on moving.

Instead of sitting, researching, over thinking ... just take some action. Book in a new dance or fitness class, go rock climbing or surfing...whatever tickles your fancy.

That's the start.

If you want to know what else I've done over the years to remain fit and healthy and injury free. I've got a workshop this Sunday 9am with extended live Q&A.

Find out:

  • what has changed and worked for me over the years
  • how your physiology changes over the decades
  • what to do now or where to start
  • and get direct support and guidance for your specific situation and goals.

It will be informative, reflective of my own lived and learned experience, my knowledge in the space and also address questions you might have specifically for you!

And just so you know - this isn’t just lived experience.

I’ve also completed:
• Cert III & IV in Fitness
• Cert IV in Weight Management (Nutrition)
• Functional Nutrition & Metabolism Specialisation (hormones & blood labs)
• Spent 10+ years working with women in the gym & online
• Competed in bodybuilding and transformed my own body multiple times
• And worked full-time in corporate for 18 years!

So please - come pick my brain.
Let me put all of that knowledge to work for you.

You don’t have to know everything.

And you definitely don’t need to keep following generic social media advice that ignores your lifestyle, values and real-world stress.

You just need the right support at the right time.

Hey Reader, Have you ever had blood tests done, been told everything looks “normal”…but you still feel tired, stuck, or off? You get told to keep an eye on it and test again next year.Yet in that time, you don’t feel 100%. This is not uncommon. But by the time you test again, the results may have now significantly changed. What once wasn’t a problem or something to monitor becomes something you’re suddenly told needs medication. I believe we should trust our female intuition. If you don’t feel...

Hello Reader, One of the biggest barriers I see isn’t a lack of discipline. It’s fear of committing to something before you feel completely ready. We tell ourselves:What if I can’t stick to it?What if I fail again? What if this becomes another thing I start and don’t finish? So instead of taking action, we stay in the comfort of thinking, researching, and waiting. We read the books. We listen to the podcasts. We follow the right people online. We tell ourselves we’re learning and improving. And on...

Hello Reader, My new years goal was to read more and I have been honouring that by reading at least 10 minutes each night. If you knew me when I was younger (in my teens), I was SO AGAINST reading. I used to think, if I have time (or tbh any interest) to read, I'd be better off reading a text book (the Asian mentality was to get ahead in the sciences..) Then in my 20s, I tried reading on the train during my commutes to work. The first few books I remember reading (which were suggestions by a...
